It is also situated just one block away from the Winnipeg Convention Centre.Nearby is the Forks historical site at the junctions of the Red and Assiniboine rivers, the top tourist attraction. The MTS Centre, home to the Manitoba Moose, concerts and the Shrine Circus is within walking distance to the hotel. Business travelers and families on vacation will love one of the hotel’s great features: in-room computer PC’s with high speed internet access and laptop connections in every room. Most quality hotels offer high speed connection, but few like the Best Western Charterhouse Hotel offer in-room PC’s. Some other amenities are the famous Rib Room Restaurant, cocktail lounge, Barrister’s Restaurant and Lounge, 23 VLT’s (Video Lottery Terminals), exercise facilities, meeting/banquet facilities accommodating up to 150 people, photocopy services, VCR Rental, complimentary National newspaper, ATM machines, foreign currency exchange, express checkout, executive floor, children 17 and under stay free, shuttle service from the airport, train and bus stations are available from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM. They also have rooms with balcony available. During our stay at the Charterhouse, we enjoyed the view of the city, from the balcony. Although not a tall hotel like the Radisson Hotel , it was still quite a nice view. The hotel has been recently renovated. The rooms are very nice, something for everyone.
We have stayed at the hotel on more than one occasion and found the service to be excellent; the rooms are first rate, the restaurants and entertainment to be very enjoyable.
