Winnipeg Shopping

Winnipeg shopping malls are located in every area of the city to meet your needs. The primary malls are: St. Vital Centre , Polo Park, Portage Place, Kildonan Place, Garden City Shopping Centre , Winnipeg Square and City Place.

There is a variety of smaller Winnipeg shopping malls as well: Northgate Shopping Centre, Grant Park, Ft. Richmond and Charleswood Centre. Shopping in Winnipeg is not only restricted to malls as the city offers some great shopping experiences in neighborhoods as well.

In St. Boniface there are the Provencher Boulevard and Marion St. strips, South Winnipeg has Corydon Avenue which is Winnipeg’s little Italy. The Exchange District in downtown Winnipeg has a wonderful artistic flare to it.

Osborne Village has something for everyone from coffee shops to music stores. The village is a great place to spend a Saturday afternoon in the summer, wandering from shop to shop.

In addition, you can’t mention Winnipeg shopping and not include The Forks. Situated at the junction of the Red and Assiniboine rivers, The Forks offers Winnipeg’s most unique shopping experience. It is not only a “must” destination for visitors but for Winnipeggers themselves. There is plenty to see and do at The Forks: the Johnston Terminal has crafts, clothing and jewelry stores.

The Forks offers the best views of the city for sightseeing. If you have a child, then The Forks is a definite “must”. You will find Manitoba Theatre For Young People offering live theatre for young people, toy stores, and the Manitoba Children’s Museum offers hands on children’s activity galleries.

As you can see, The Winnipeg shopping experience is second to none.
